Does putting baby powder in your face cover up your pores?

I've been using baby powder recently instead of putting foundation all over my face to prevent from getting oily skin.

but does baby powder cover up pores?

You can't totally hide pores but a face powder will help minimize their appearance. Baby powder would be a very available and cheap fix if it works for you. You can buy a one pound container of Johnson's for what, five bucks? That would probably also last you the rest of your life. You might be better off with a nice matte face powder or one of the Bare Minerals-type preparations. I would think that Johnson's would have a little bit of a sparkle to it but that might be what you want. I can't live without face powder. It really does soak up oil and it keeps all your makeup in place all day long. If I got stranded on a desert island and I could only have three things with me it would be face powder, a hairbrush, and a toothbrush....I've been using Coty Airspun for thirty years (this stuff has probably been around since the 1930's) and if they ever stop making it I don't know what I'm going to do. You can also try those little papers that come in like a matchbook, you use them to soak up excess oil on your skin and they work great. There are many different brands of them in a wide price range....

Sarahgirllll- Where have you found Johnson's in a compact? You gotta tell me! Is it available in the U.S?
