have a casio keyboard, is it normal for musical keyboard to have a 4 key limit? better ones dont maybe?
i have a casio lk 240 keyboard, im trying to play some songs that require 5 keys or so to be pressed at once but it shorts out automatically one of my keys if i try to play more than 4? im assuming its supposed to do that, jw if better keyboards or pianos can you play more than 4 keys?
Okay then ... Page E39 of the user manual states that the LK240 has 48 note polyphony (24 for certain tones - (read stereo samples)) It also indicates that the key lighting system will light up to four keys at a time.
Not knowing which you are asking about, I'm going to assume the key lighting system. That's fixed and cannot be changed. My take (and probably all professional keyboard players is) don't use it; it's a crutch. While it may get you to play some simple melodies quickly, you'll never learn to play piano using that method.
